I want to help my Myanmese friend who’s in Singapore learn English. Right now her English is really choppy and we have difficulty understanding each other. I looked thru websites & bookstores but they only have English to Burmese books. I think it would be more helpful if there are Burmese to English sites / information / books so she could learn English. Could you give me some information so I could help her? Thanks. Hello everyone. I am Harpreet from India. From my childhood I was fascinated by Myanmar. Can anybody tell me about Meiktila? People must be wondering that why a guy from India is asking about Meiktila. People don’t know about Myanmar but I know. Well I want to share something about Myanmar that is I have a past related to Meiktila. My grand father was born in Meiktila and studied there till 6th standard but after that they left for India during to WW-2. My great grand father was a civil engineer in a British company and worked in Meiktila and they also had a furniture shop at that time in Meiktila. My grand father use to tell me stories about Myanmar. I will realy like to hear about Meiktila and if got a change sometime later in my life then I will like to visit Meiktila.
